During the summer vacation the minimum booking period is 7 nights. It is important that you apply and pay for the maximum period you require. If you decide to apply in small blocks the Accommodation Centre is not able to guarantee continuous stay in the same room or that we will have availability when you make a future application. To be eligible for a summer room you will need to meet the usual Accommodation Centre terms and conditions (eg clearance of outstanding money, full payment of summer rent in advance etc).
If you have a contract and now wish to stay longer please read ‘When will I be able to extend my contract?’. If you do not apply and pay in full for a new contract for continuous summer stay you will be required to leave by 10am on the day your contract ends.
If you have booked campus accommodation for the next session please read ‘Can I remain on campus between the end of my summer contract and the start of my term time contract?’.
If you are a Postgraduate/Research student and have a term time contract you do not have to apply for the summer vacation. For more information on your term time contract please refer to your Licence Agreement. Please note that unfortunately we cannot offer you accommodation on campus beyond the end of your contract date in September. If necessary, please arrange off campus accommodation in time for the end of your contract.
