There are 33 halls of residence, each hall has its own character and you can discover more about them by consulting the individual hall web pages on the Accommodation Services website where you can find hall plans and pictures. New students are encouraged to view rooms during University Open Days.

Students are able to state their specific room preferences in the comments section on the online application form. Whenever possible the Allocations Team will do their best to meet your preference however please note that this cannot be guaranteed as some Halls of Residence are oversubscribed. If your preference is not available you would be offered an alternative.

Your room preference comments will be completely dependent on your personal preferences you may wish to consider the following questions; Would you prefer an en suite or a standard room? Would you like to be closer to the sport facilities? Would you prefer to be at the heart of campus or overlooking a court yard?

You also need to consider which halls are available to your year of study.
