Please note all guests must be over 18 years of age.
Campus accommodation is for single occupancy only (with the exception of the couples studio flat where the students registered partner resides with them). For safety reasons, only the authorised resident is permitted to reside overnight in the allocated bedroom, unless arrangements have been made in advance with the Residences Office.
You are however allowed to have one guest stay overnight in your accommodation for a maximum of three nights. A Resident wishing to provide accommodation for an overnight guest may hire a camp bed from the Residences Office. There is a charge of £3.00 per night for the hire of the bed and bedding, £5.00 for the whole weekend or during a holiday period when the office may be closed e.g. Easter and Christmas. This charge is payable at the time of hire and the maximum duration of hire and stay by guests is three nights except if there is a prior agreement with the Residences Office in exceptional circumstances. The bed and bedding must be returned promptly at the end of the agreed hire period.
Head Lease Properties
The Residents shall not have more than 2 visitors to stay overnight at any one time, and no visitor shall stay for more than 3 consecutive nights. This is particularly important where the Property is a licensable house in multiple occupation. A breach of this regulation is likely to result in the Landlord terminating this agreement. The Residents will not have any visitor at the Property who is under the age of 18, unless they are accompanied by their parent or guardian.
